UPDATE: March 8, 2021
Dear neighbours,
We are beyond thrilled to say that as of today, March 8, 2021, we are able to resume all cleaning services.
As per the guidelines set forth for business and activities allowed within the grey zone, we ask that you cooperate with us in following the strictest measures possible to keep you and our team safe from potential exposure.
Please wear a mask and maintain a safe distance
Our cleaners will continue to wear masks while cleaning, however we now require that anyone else in the home (excepting young children) at the time of the cleaning also wear a mask and maintain the minimum of 6 feet distance at all times. We cannot clean homes where more than 3 people are present, or where distancing cannot be maintained.
Cancel or pause service if necessary
For the duration of the lockdown we will waive all fees for those wishing to cancel or pause service at this time. For those wishing to continue, we ask that you advise us immediately if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with a confirmed case so we may reschedule your appointment.
We care about our cleaners
Our team has worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic and we are respecting any and all requests from staff members to reduce hours or contact upon request. This means we may need to reschedule your appointment and will advise you of such changes with as much notice as possible. We appreciate your patience in advance as we aim to support you and our team equally.
We are prepared
All of our cleaners are certified in Infection Prevention and Control through IPAC Canada, and are extensively trained on the correct use of PPE. Cleaners must pass a screening prior to each shift, and are instructed to stay home (paid!) if they are showing signs or symptoms of COVID-19. Should you have any questions or wish to discuss our health and safety policies, you may contact me directly via email, phone, or text.
We would like to thank you all very much for your support and understanding as we continue to navigate the pandemic in the new year. We love our community and all its members very much and are more than happy to lend an ear or a hand in any way we can. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at any time - we are here to help.

UPDATE: March 26, 2020
Dear valued clients and friends,
We will be resuming operations on April 13, 2020.
As a cleaning company that has always cared deeply for our team and the homes and families we clean for, we take our responsibility as an essential service very seriously. In light of covid-19, we have taken great measures to update our protocols to meet the requirements of risk reduction and effective disinfection procedures, while keeping you and our team safe and free from harmful chemicals.
We want to share some of the enhanced protocols that we’ve implemented, to ensure our team members and our clients are protected:
What We Ask of You
Additional Resources
We realize that there is a lot of information being circulated that is difficult to follow. During this time, our commitment to you goes beyond providing service as we strive to do our part to use our knowledge to keep our community informed.
There is much to learn about the novel coronavirus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Based on what is currently known about the novel coronavirus and similar coronaviruses that cause SARS and MERS, transmission from person-to-person with these viruses happens most frequently among close contacts (within about 6 feet). This type of transmission occurs via respiratory droplets.
On the other hand, transmission of novel coronavirus to persons from surfaces contaminated with the virus has not yet been documented. Transmission of coronavirus occurs much more commonly through respiratory droplets than through fomites, though evidence suggests that novel coronavirus may remain viable for hours to days on surfaces made from a variety of materials. Cleaning of visibly dirty surfaces followed by disinfection is a best practice measure for prevention of COVID-19 and other viral respiratory illnesses in households and community settings.
This guidance provides recommendations on the cleaning and disinfection of households where persons under investigation (PUI) or those with confirmed COVID-19 reside or may be in self-isolation. It is aimed at limiting the survival of the virus in the environments. These recommendations will be updated if additional information becomes available.
Cleaning refers to the removal of germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces. Cleaning does not kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection.
Disinfecting refers to using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs, but by killing germs on a surface after cleaning, it can further lower the risk of spreading infection.
General Recommendations for Cleaning and Disinfection of Households with People Isolated in Home Care (e.g. Suspected/Confirmed to have COVID-19)
Household members should educate themselves about COVID-19 symptoms and preventing the spread of COVID-19 in homes.
Other considerations
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].

Dhyana Cleaning
Dear valued clients and friends,
We will be resuming operations on April 13, 2020.
As a cleaning company that has always cared deeply for our team and the homes and families we clean for, we take our responsibility as an essential service very seriously. In light of covid-19, we have taken great measures to update our protocols to meet the requirements of risk reduction and effective disinfection procedures, while keeping you and our team safe and free from harmful chemicals.
We want to share some of the enhanced protocols that we’ve implemented, to ensure our team members and our clients are protected:
- Infection Prevention and Control Certification. As of April 6th, 2020 all cleaners responsible for cleaning and disinfecting your home will be certified in infection control from IPAC.
- Social Distancing. We ask that our cleaners be given 6 feet of physical space while cleaning.
- Wearing gloves and practicing hand hygiene. All cleaners will wear gloves while cleaning your home, and have been trained to follow strict hand hygiene protocols as per the CDC and Public Health Ontario.
- Surface disinfecting. We are now using a hospital grade EPA approved disinfectant on all surfaces with special attention paid to high risk touch points (counter tops, bathroom surfaces, doorknobs, light switches, refrigerator handle, etc.) This product is non-toxic and biodegradable. Please be aware that when disinfecting surfaces, the disinfectant needs to sit wet on the surface to work properly. You may notice us using more product than usual, as well leaving surfaces wet, in order to ensure proper disinfection.
- Vacuums and mops. We would prefer to use yours; however, if this is not possible, our cleaners will empty and disinfect our equipment after each use.
- Disposable cloths In order to eliminate cross-contamination between homes, we are now utilizing biodegradable disposable cloths.
- Changing linen. We will continue to make beds, but ask that you or your guests strip the bed and remove the linens, if you want us to put on fresh linen.
- Adherence to isolation guidelines. If a cleaner is sick or has been in contact with anyone that has been sick, they have been instructed to stay home.
What We Ask of You
- Let us know what you need. Let us or your cleaner know if you have any additional or special requests while in your home. We are more than happy to alter and customize our service to suit your needs.
- Cancel if sick. Please cancel your cleaning appointment if you or a family member is experiencing flu-like symptoms or has tested positive for covid-19. We will waive all cancellation fees.
- Pause service if necessary. We will be happy to have you back.
- Consider donating a clean to a front line worker. We are accepting donations to be used toward providing free service to the front line workers putting their lives on the line to keep us safe. Email us for more information at [email protected]

General Recommendations for Cleaning and Disinfection of Households with People Isolated in Home Care (e.g. Suspected/Confirmed to have COVID-19)
Household members should educate themselves about COVID-19 symptoms and preventing the spread of COVID-19 in homes.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces daily in household common areas (e.g. tables, hard-backed chairs, doorknobs, light switches, remotes, handles, desks, toilets, sinks)
- In the bedroom/bathroom dedicated for an ill person: consider reducing cleaning frequency to as-needed (e.g., soiled items and surfaces) to avoid unnecessary contact with the ill person.
- As much as possible, an ill person should stay in a specific room and away from other people in their home, following home care guidance.
- The caregiver can provide personal cleaning supplies for an ill person's room and bathroom, unless the room is occupied by child or another person for whom such supplies would not be appropriate. These supplies include tissues, paper towels, cleaners and EPA-registered disinfectants (examples at this linkpdf iconexternal icon).
- If a separate bathroom is not available, the bathroom should be cleaned and disinfected after each use by an ill person. If this is not possible, the caregiver should wait as long as practical after use by an ill person to clean and disinfect the high-touch surfaces.
- Household members should follow home care guidance when interacting with persons with suspected/confirmed COVID-19 and their isolation rooms/bathrooms.
Other considerations
- The ill person should eat/be fed in their room if possible. Non-disposable food service items used should be handled with gloves and washed with hot water or in a dishwasher. Clean hands after handling used food service items.
- If possible, dedicate a lined trash can for the ill person. Use gloves when removing garbage bags, handling, and disposing of trash. Wash hands after handling or disposing of trash.
- Consider consulting with your local health department about trash disposal guidance if available.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].
Sincerely
Dhyana Cleaning
